The streaming video service Netflix from the USA will launch the series "Iron Fist" in early 2017. The new show, which is planned for 13 episodes, will continue the Marvel Comics Universe franchise. The script will be based on the comic of the same name, which first appeared in 1974, based on the idea of Gil Kane and Roy Thomas.

The main character of the new TV series is Danny Rand (also known as Iron Fist). A high-level athlete, acrobat, and master of martial arts K'un-Lun, he joins the fight against crime in Hell's Kitchen. Rand's superhuman power lies in his ability to control his own internal energy called "Chi" and to concentrate it in his fist for strikes of incredible power. He learned this skill in the monastery of the city of Shaolin from the famous fighter for justice, Shang-Chi. The ability of the Iron Fist itself appeared to Danny after the death of his parents, who were killed by the dragon Shou-Lao. The little boy reached the creature and killed it, receiving its power in return. After a long absence, Daniel comes to New York to confront the forces of evil and criminal authorities who have greatly ruined the lives of ordinary citizens. With his abilities, he inflicts serious injuries on a robber, for which he is sentenced to a year in prison. Later, he will take part in the fight against the Kuvaldi and Kingpin gang.
