Vasily Rusakov, a cadet at a tank school, is unaware of the approaching war. He falls in love and makes plans for his life. But Nazi Germany shatters all the dreams and love of the cadet. He is forced to leave his first love, Natalia, at home, just after getting engaged to her. It is unknown whether he will return from the battlefield. The very young and enthusiastic young man finds himself in the hell of military actions. One of the greatest battles of the Great Patriotic War - the Kursk Bulge - turns him into a real tank division commander. In one moment, the boy turns into a man, whose decisions determine the lives of subordinates and the outcome of the operation. Tank battles become one of the key battles in this bloody war. However, Vasily proves himself as a competent leader and an excellent strategist. Therefore, Natalia can wait for Rusakov to come home with a medal or a rank. The main thing is for her beloved to return alive and unharmed. After all, the girl is carrying the brave commander's heir under her tender heart.
