In October 2015, the director of the film studio "Mars Media," R. Dishdishyan, announced that he had received approval for the development of the second season of the series "Likvidatsiya" (Liquidation). The premiere date for the new episodes is still unknown, but it is tentatively scheduled for late 2018 or early 2019. A new production team will be responsible for the show: Sergei Ursulyak, the director of the first part of the project, and screenwriter Zoya Kudrya. No offers have been made for their work. Recently, a scandal has erupted around the actor, Vladimir Mashkov, who plays one of the main roles, as he is unable to enter Ukrainian territory due to a ban. Because of this, the project may be filmed in Rostov or Moscow with the use of decorations.

What will happen in the 2nd season

Marshal Zhukov, the Victorious, will continue to restore order in the country after the war. The famished Soviet people willingly engage in crimes that the great commander will try to prevent. If we rely on history, it is likely that a similar struggle will unfold in the Ural Military District, where Zhukov was transferred after Odessa.

The series "Likvidatsiya" tells the story of the cleansing of Odessa from criminals in 1946. Marshal Zhukov was at the head of this operation, as Stalin had sent him to the Odessa military district from Moscow as punishment for stealing trophies from Germany.
