The project of Russian director Andrey Silkina, "Mama Laura", is an original mixture of detective investigations, ironic humor, and melodrama, brought to life by "World Russian Studios". It will be released in 2018. The filmmakers have created many successful works, so its popularity is quite predictable.

The main heroine of the series is a simple cook who works at a roadside cafe and happily treats visitors to various delicacies. The lovely woman knows how to attentively listen to the interlocutor, give advice, or sympathize, so there is no shortage of customers at the establishment. But, just like in any place, crimes happen here, because people on the road can be different. Some are running away from their problems, and scammers deliberately seek out trusting people from whom they can acquire money or property. Mama Laura not only cooks delicious dishes but also possesses an extraordinary talent as a detective. She is very observant, able to make unconventional conclusions, and notice details that create a general picture of the crime. The locals are well aware of her abilities, so even with the slightest difficulties, they turn to the friendly woman instead of going to the police station. And for incoming criminals, she prepares unpleasant surprises, instantly discerning their intentions.
