In 2018, the detective series "Countdown" aired on Russian television. The multi-episode series was created under the direction of director Sergey Popov. The screenplay was worked on by Valentin Yemelyanov, Valentin Batov, and Konstantin Syngaevsky.

The center of the series "Countdown" is a young detective named Konstantin Korsakov. The guy unravels the most complex cases and finds the most dangerous criminals that other law enforcement officers cannot handle. The main feature of Konstantin is that he cannot be condescending, neither to others nor to himself. Perhaps it is precisely Konstantin's difference from other police officers that is the secret to his success in his work. Lately, the detective has been increasingly facing not only cruel criminals but also angry victims who decide to independently find the culprit of their misfortunes in order to seek revenge. Konstantin's task in such situations is to protect people from themselves. At the same time, the guy needs to catch gangsters and prevent horrific crimes. To successfully achieve all the set goals, the detective assembled a small team of trusted police officers. It includes two senior lieutenants, Inga Gordeeva and Max Lobov, as well as a lower-ranking but equally competent in their work, girl Lusya Alekhina.
