Jim Fitzgerald has been tracking a dangerous criminal nicknamed the Unabomber for a long time. His nickname is not accidental. This terrorist was involved in mailing single homemade bombs. The criminal became almost legendary, as no one has been able to catch him for fifteen years. Since 1970, none of the agents have been able to determine the identity of the bomber. But in 1995, the case falls into the hands of rookie Jim. And two years later, the Unabomber found himself in the defendant's dock. The series tells the story of this two-year period and what happened during that time. The clever tricks of the main character in the struggle against an equally intellectually developed opponent. As a result, the suspect turned out to be a completely different type of person than the police had thought for several years. Instead of a vengeful petty clerk, the criminal turned out to be a professor with his own thinking and worldview. When evidence is collected for his trial, the viewer is shown the story of the formation of one of the most secretive and elusive criminals of the twentieth century.
