The NBC company is preparing to release a new series called "Rise" (original title "Rise"). This is an adaptation of the book "Drama High" by Michael Sokolov.

The plot centers around the teacher Lou. He is a model family man, but the routine life has become boring for the ambitious teacher. In his youth, he dreamt of becoming an actor or director. Madzukelli plans to become a mentor for a children's theater club. The local school gradually turns into a provincial and boring institution. Lou wants to bring life to the gray walls of the educational institution. Initially, the man, experiencing a midlife crisis, is not entirely confident in his abilities. But soon, he becomes inspired by the enthusiasm of his students and selflessly prepares them for the regional competition with scenes from classical works. Many residents become interested in their children's unusual pastime and also come to rehearsals. The life of the quiet town takes on new colors. Along with their students, the teachers also begin to show their creative abilities. Soon, almost every resident in one way or another participates in the preparation. Before the trip to the competition, the group of aspiring actors receives immense support. They become the pride of their town. The lives of several thousand people can change thanks to the work and enthusiasm of one person, who became Lou.
