The detective TV series "Freud's Method" aired on Channel One on January 8, 2013 and immediately captured viewers' attention with its extraordinary plot. The first season of the show consists of 12 episodes, each approximately an hour long. The highlight of the show was the scandalously famous actor Ivan Okhlobystin, who gained popularity for his role as the chief doctor in "Interns" on TNT.

The story revolves around psychologist Roma Freidin, who is sent to work in the investigative department of the Russian Prosecutor's Office. There, he is supposed to become a consultant for the operatives and help improve the solvability of cases. The uniqueness of his character lies in his extensive experience in communicating with people of various backgrounds, whom he encountered during his travels in Europe and Russia in his youth. During the investigation, Freidin relies on his intuition and personally developed method of recreating the biokinetic model of the crime, composing and predicting the perpetrator's image. This not only helps the police officers apprehend the culprit but also leads them to the exact motives for breaking the law.
