Jack Bender, the producer of the TV series "Mr. Mercedes," shared information that the release of the 4th season is scheduled for August 2020.

The final episode of the 3rd season will be shown by the "Audience" channel in autumn 2019. Filmmakers have taken on the adaptation of another work by the outstanding author Stephen King.

The plot begins with a horrifying incident that occurred on a city street. An unknown person in an expensive car rushes, disregarding the road, and intentionally runs over terrified citizens. The bloody incident resulted in the death of more than a dozen unfortunate people. The case of the hit-and-run is assigned to the wise and hardworking detective Hodges. He diligently interviewed witnesses and searched for missing clues. Despite law enforcement's efforts, they failed to solve the criminal case and catch the perpetrator. Over time, Hodges resigned and wanted to take a break from work. The tired man settled in an uncomfortable house, but he did not stop thinking about the mistakes he made in the past. The main character was constantly in touch with his former colleagues and learned the latest news from them. Soon, the mysterious enemy starts sending him strange messages. With the help of a hacker, he finds out that a guy who innocently ran over people with his car decided to mock him. Hodges becomes obsessed with the idea of experiencing the thrill again. He prepares for a grand crime that future generations will talk about.

The main roles were played by: Jharrel Jerome, who appeared in the movies "Moonlight" and "First Match", Robert Stanton, who was noticed in the TV series "The Good Wife" and "Elementary", Holland Taylor, who appeared in the films "The Wedding Date" and "Spy" and other artists.

The premiere was shown to the audience on August 9, 2017. 30 episodes were filmed. The key character, despite retiring, strives to find the cunning murderer.
