The plot revolves around a settlement that cannot be found on world maps because such a city does not actually exist. The locals lead a leisurely lifestyle, follow fashion trends, and try to be modern people. They can afford to sleep at any time of the day since they work only a few hours a week, and consider this situation to be completely normal.

The urban population only consumes organic food, takes great care of their own health, and does not neglect physical exercise. They particularly enjoy practicing yoga. They consciously decided to give up driving cars, replacing them entirely with bicycles to avoid polluting the environment. Their main goal and purpose in life is striving for complete harmony with nature, finding peace and tranquility.

Residents of Portlandia do not worry about how much they earn. They always have cash on hand, which they spend exclusively on useful purchases. At first glance, the key characters may seem strange and a little eccentric, but they are all obsessed with the idea of making the world a better place.
