The TV series "The Last Moskal" has been aired on the Ukrainian channel 1+1 since April 14, 2015. The new comedy show was created at the film studio "1+1 production".

The script of the TV series unfolds in a remote Hutsul village in western Ukraine, where Valera from the highly industrial and technological city of Moscow ends up. To be more precise, he ends up in Ukraine while hiding from the FSB and the Russian mafia, whom his father deceived the day before and went to London with the money he had earned. He sent his son by train to his brother Ivan, who lives in the mountain village of Bolshiye Vuyki with real Hutsuls. At first, the boy struggles to establish relationships with the local residents as well as with his own uncle, as the brothers had conflicts a long time ago. Valera himself, after settling in a bit, meets a girl named Ksenia in the village. He falls in love with the remarkably beautiful Ukrainian girl, and therefore decides to stay in Bolshiye Vuyki a little longer. The locals are not happy about their relationship and the new fellow villager, so they try to get rid of him as soon as possible. However, the stubborn Muscovite holds on to his new place and the love he has found with all his might. As the plot unfolds, the younger Petruk comes up with a plan to organize a resort in the countryside, but the problem is that the homes of the local residents would have to be demolished to build "Vuykovele" ...
