A student from one of the teacher training colleges, who was only 18 years old, was killed. The body was found in the trunk of a car that had been submerged in a small lake. The victim's hands were tied, which directly indicates a violent death. The submerged car belongs to a large company. The investigation of this brutal crime is entrusted to the investigator named Alexandra Moskvina. The girl receives this case on the last day of her work in her hometown. Alexandra is supposed to get married in a few weeks and move to the capital to live with her fiancé. She is supposed to be assisted in the investigation by a department newcomer named Andrey Chistyakov. He is a diligent guy who has recently started working and has no experience. The case turns out to be very complicated, and it is not possible to accurately reconstruct the crime scene. The initial results of the investigation bring an unpleasant surprise. The threads of the murder lead to high-ranking people from the world of politics. As time goes on, the case starts interfering with the personal lives of the heroes in the most unpleasant way. The closer they get to the solution, the harder it becomes for them to protect themselves and their loved ones.
