It is still unknown if there will be a second season of the fantastic drama "Prokliatie spiashchikh" from NTV in 2019. The fate of the mystical show will be decided after its premiere on national television.

The first season of the series was directed by Artem Aksenenko based on the scripts of the successful and quite well-known Ilya Kulikov. The project's motto will be the phrase: "It's time to wake up!".

What will happen in the new season

The series "Curse of the Sleepers" produced by "Legio Felix" studio tells the story of a mad businessman Pavel Voronov, who decided to collect a collection of paintings with heroes in the process of sleep. In his opinion, these canvases artistically immortalize people's souls. He calls upon art expert Agnes and professional photographer Konstantin for help. Together, they embark on a pursuit of mystical paintings with a mysterious history. In addition to this trio, the artist Tikhonov is also hunting for these art objects, hoping to master the author's painting technique and learn to create unusual paintings. At first, the idea seems absurd, but as they immerse themselves in the race for art, mysterious deaths occur, and the power of the creations leaves no doubt.

The mini-series "Curse of the Sleepers" is planned for only 8 episodes, which are scheduled to be shown by spring 2018. If the broadcasts are successful, the continuation of the series will be filmed by the end of 2018 and shown in 2019. The ensemble of the best actors in Russian cinematography could bring success to this show.
