The NTV channel is ready to delight fans of detective stories with another project called "The Curse of the Sleeping", which will start in early 2018. The story, immortalized by Ilya Kulikov, revolves around unusual paintings by famous artists.

According to one of the legends widespread in bohemian circles, an unknown artist, seeing the approach of his beloved companion's death, decided to take a desperate step. He painted his beloved and transferred her soul to the canvas by the power of his mind, forever imprisoning her memory within the frame. Following the crazed master, similar portraits appeared from several other quite famous artists. And they were all united by the curse of restless spirits. The richest businessman conceived a dangerous adventure: to collect a collection of all the canvases with sleeping characters. Inspired by this unconventional idea, the entrepreneur devotes all his efforts to the search for magical paintings. The magnate is actively assisted by the photographer Konstantin and the art expert Agnessa. But in the path of Pavel Voronov, a poor artist Alexey Tikhonov appears, whose intentions remarkably coincide with the plans of the key character. And the death of the young artist becomes an insurmountable obstacle to continue the collection. Detective Irina Shchulyaeva is tasked with uncovering the details of the murder.
