What to expect in the fifth season

In the fourth season, the main heroine, Queen Mary, who is married to Francis, tirelessly fought for power and influence in Scotland and France. She has to get married again to improve her situation on the throne, after the death of Francis II. Meanwhile, the church tries to strengthen Protestantism in Scotland, which means that Catholic Mary Stuart cannot come to power.

Possibly in the new episodes of the fifth season, we can expect the downfall of the queen from the throne, as well as her escape to England.

The TV series "Reign" is based on historical events that took place in the 16th century in England, Scotland, and France. The main character is Mary Stuart, who escaped her fate of being killed in childhood thanks to her escape to a monastery. Due to her decisions, she becomes the titled queen of Scotland.
