A television project of Canadian production, its plot line was taken from a series of articles that were published in the popular publication "Globe and Mail". The series is about the complicated fate of doctors, although it contains more paranormal and mystical elements than medical themes, thanks to which the premiere of the film became one of the most brilliant and profitable in its genre.

Doctor Charlie Harris, who lives in the Canadian city of Toronto, gets into a terrible accident, after which he finds himself in a serious coma, teetering on the brink of life and death. He is surrounded by his lover, Alex Reid, who is also a doctor, and she fervently tries to pull her chosen one out of a coma. Leading surgeon Joel Goran also helps her in every way possible, as he also wants to save his colleague. And Charlie's soul wanders through the familiar polyclinic, trying to somehow understand the intricacies of the situation. Doctor Harris has no concept of whether he is really in the role of a bodiless spirit, or if it is just a figment of his imagination. The employees save lives daily, often making very difficult decisions. Charlie does not give up and searches for any chance to regain ownership of his own body, and he will soon meet a spirit of an eccentric boy who resides in the same spiritual realm as he does.
