Upon arrival in the capital, Demidova tries to enter a prestigious university, but an unexpected delay occurs. The institute's management notices a mistake in the certificate of the attractive provincial girl and refuses to accept the necessary documents. In order to earn a decent living, the trusting girl has to get a job in a sewing factory. At the factory, her path crosses with the arrogant and self-confident owner of the enterprise. Yermolaev makes an unpleasant impression on the young worker. A conflict arises between them. Soon, the young people make peace and start dating. The passionate romance ends with a wedding celebration. After some time, a daring attack is carried out on the couple's car. Artem dies, and the young daughter of the couple, Nadezhda, disappears in an unknown direction. The surviving mother begins the search for her missing child.
