Shadowhunters release date
The TV series "Shadowhunters" premiered on ABC Family cable channel on January 12, 2016. The show is produced by Constantin Film studio, which originally planned to adapt this script into a feature film called "The Mortal Instruments" based on the novel of the same name by Cassandra Clare.
The events of the TV series revolve around a teenager named Clary Fray. During her eighteenth birthday celebration, her mother Jocelyn is kidnapped. After a short period of time, Clary discovers that she belongs to a race of supernatural beings called "Shadowhunters," just like her mother. The goal of this race, who are half-human and half-angel, is to hunt and eliminate various demons. Together, they secretly defend the Earth from otherworldly creatures trying to escape. Clary is introduced to a whole supernatural reality, where she, along with her newfound friends Jace, Alec, and Isabelle, must find and save her mother. The group embarks on a journey to the City of Bones, where they will attempt to locate the Silent Brothers. This is the only lead that can bring them closer to Jocelyn's kidnappers.
