Shadowhunters Season 2

The actors of the TV series revealed the channel's plans to shoot a second season during a group interview on Facebook, held on March 14, 2016. The filming of the continuation of the show will begin this summer, in order to set the premiere date of the first episode for the end of 2016 or the beginning of 2017. The second part will also consist of 20 episodes, each approximately 40 minutes long.

What will happen in the 2nd season?

In the final episode of the first season, titled "Morning Star," the members of the "Shadowhunters" clan were finally able to find Claire's mother, Jocelyn. Unfortunately, she was in an irreparable coma, and it won't be easy to wake her up. In the new episodes, Claire will join the path of exterminating various demons and impurities, who are trying to escape from a parallel universe in order to capture the Earth and its inhabitants. Only the race of angels, led by the Fray family, can stop their evil intentions.

The TV series "Shadowhunters" premiered on ABC Family on January 12, 2016. The show is a remake of the film "The Mortal Instruments" produced by Constantin Film. The first season consists of 13 episodes, which were filmed in the cities of Toronto and Ontario, Canada.
