At the end of 2019, NTV will show a detective mini-series called "Mysteries of the City EN". The script for the TV show is based on the British drama "Murder on the Beach" from the cable channel ITV.

The actions take place in a small province in the heart of Russia. The murder of a teenager in a quiet town has stirred the minds not only of its residents but also of the whole country. Several investigators take on the responsibility for the investigation. One of the criminal investigation officers is a friend of the deceased child's family, and the other is his hated colleague, who has recently been promoted. Almost all the residents of the small town come under suspicion by the police, so their lives will be looked at under a magnifying glass. As the criminal case is being conducted, it becomes clear that not everything is smooth in the Russian backwoods. The majority of the secondary characters hide their secrets from each other and from justice. In the course of the investigation, cases from previous years will be addressed. The small and inconspicuous town turns out to be at the center of attention for the whole country. Secrets and mysteries from the province will come to the surface. The events mentioned above will make the residents of other small towns think that similar cases may be happening around them, but are not being revealed...
