The Chi release date

The dramatic series from the film companies "Freedom Road Productions" and "Fox21 Television Studios" premiered in January 2018. One of the roles is played by Stephen Williams, who played Mike's father in the movie "It".

Chicago is one of the largest American cities. Its scale divides it into districts that differ significantly from each other in the way people live. In the southern district, African Americans live representing the poorer part of the population. Prejudice from white employers prevents them from obtaining prestigious positions. Due to the lack of legitimate ways to make money, many choose the criminal path, getting involved in theft and drug trafficking. The younger generation also cannot stay away. Children here are taught to work from a conscious age, in order to avoid hunger. Alex Hibbert is a young schoolboy trying to live a normal life in these difficult conditions. The boy wants to remain honest until the very end, without resorting to breaking the law, and dreams of having his own restaurant. However, the path to this coveted goal is overshadowed by one of the street fights. Hibbert begins to be suspected as an accomplice. It is not easy to prove his innocence when you are an ordinary black teenager from a poor district.
