The American drama series "The Crossing" directed by "The X-Files" creator Rob Bowman became available for viewing in April 2018. The film was prepared by order of the ABC channel. The script was written by Dan Dworkin and Jay Beattie, who previously worked on projects such as "Scorpion" and "Revenge".

The sheriff of the port of Canaan in Washington has to investigate an abandoned beach where a dead body was noticed by the security inspection. The place is not popular among tourists, especially during the cold season. A living girl was found at the scene of the incident, and the shore is strewn with bodies washed ashore. Five hundred refugees sought shelter in a quiet provincial town. But only a tenth of the people managed to survive. The survivors interviewed indicate a date of birth from a time that will come in a century and a half. A rescue team tries to find out what they had to face. The aliens from the future claim that many things have become possible in their world, even time travel. They made the crossing to avoid the consequences of a terrible war that broke out in their country. Whether it's an unimaginable secret or the mental derangement of a group of people remains a mystery. Incredible human abilities possessed by the refugees serve as evidence of what has been said. The massive death under unexplained circumstances gains wide resonance. An agent from the federal bureau arrives to investigate the extraordinary incident.
