The Lord of the Rings Season 2

An Amazon Studios representative shared that the second season of the gripping TV series "The Lord of the Rings" is expected to be released no earlier than 2022.

Amazon promises to release the finale of the 1st part in mid-2021. The creators intend to make a long-running project and plan to prepare at least five seasons for screening.

The fantastic story is dedicated to the freedom-loving and fearless Aragorn, who performed an incredible number of extraordinary feats and traveled through many picturesque territories. He was not afraid to engage in battle with relentless enemies and committed brave actions. The young man was the leader of the trackers and knew how to set priorities wisely. He managed to touch the hearts of his fellow citizens and become a fair ruler of the Reunited Kingdom. The key character was also known by the alias Strider. He quickly turned into the greatest personage who gained fame as an invincible warrior. The desperate man persuaded his comrades to go to war against the mighty Sauron. The dwellers of the West were ready to listen to the wise ruler in everything and promptly obey his orders. He hoped to achieve a resounding victory over the enemy and find the Ring of Power. The artifact possesses incredible power and is capable of granting the owner superiority over influential rivals.

The creators are not in a hurry to disclose which famous artists will play in the upcoming TV show. However, talented actor Ian McKellen managed to tell journalists that he would be extremely happy to participate in the TV project. He is known for his works in feature films "King Lear" and "Mr. Holmes".

The premiere will start in January 2020. The suspenseful drama is based on the legendary cycle of works by Tolkien.
