The Strain Season 3

The creator of the TV series "The Strain", Carlton Cuse, announced the release of the show's third season in the summer of 2016. The plot of the new episodes will continue the story described in a series of books with the same name.

Information about the new part of this TV show became known almost immediately after the finale of the second part. Horror master Guillermo Del Toro presented the viewers with details about the third season, which will start on August 28, 2016 on the FX channel during the ComicCon 2016 exhibition.

The series script tells the story of the invasion of ancient vampires in the United States. The legendary Yusef Sardu has been preparing a plan for world domination and enslavement of humans for hundreds of years. He is opposed by the team of epidemiologist Goodweather and Professor Abraham Setrakian. Together, they have been containing the spread of infection on the continent for 26 episodes.

What will happen in the new episodes

In the third season, the war between vampires and humans will intensify. The government is no longer able to deny the threat and is trying to mobilize the military to normalize the situation. The final episode of the second season told about an attempt to stop the Master using the ancient book Oxido Lumen. But the new attempt failed due to the betrayal of Eph's son, who undermined the entire team and took Nora Martinez's life. The next season shifts the balance of power in the opposite direction - humans are becoming less able to resist the pressure of the strigoi.

The exact release date of the new season has not been announced yet, but the dynamics of The Strain show suggest that the third part will be released, like the previous two, in the summer of 2016, in July.
