The day before, the waves washed up the body of Laura Palmer wrapped in polyethylene on the shore of a local lake. The deceased is found by Pete Martell, who is returning from fishing. Suspects in the murder are sought among the local population. The more law enforcement officers start investigating the residents of the provincial town, the more they become convinced that peaceful and quiet Twin Peaks is not as simple as it seemed. Absolutely every resident of the town is somehow connected to the mysterious death. As the plot develops, we will see that the investigators will consider options from a wide range of people. The identity of the mysterious killer will only be revealed towards the end of the investigation. The plot gradually transforms from a detective story into a thriller and mysticism, which, combined with atmospheric music and scenery, makes the TV show a benchmark for such series.
