The SyFy channel has been airing the TV series "Van Helsing" since autumn 2016, which extends the idea presented in the eponymous film. Neil LaBute will be responsible for creating the script and developing the aforementioned idea.

The plot takes us to the idea of Professor Abraham Van Helsing, who in Bram Stoker's novel "Dracula" was portrayed as a vampire hunter and supernatural creature fighter. In the serial version of this adaptation, the script revolves around the daughter of the aforementioned night fighter, Vanessa Helsing. She becomes the next warrior against Dracula and other supernatural beings. The actions take place in the future, where the Earth is already overrun by bloodsuckers. The girl is resurrected to restore the balance of good and evil forces on the planet. Thanks to her unique abilities, the girl has power over vampires, which will help restore hope for humanity's salvation from enslavement. However, in order to do this, she must confront ancient creatures who have been striving for victory over the human race for centuries. Vanessa, along with her newfound friends, begins her journey towards the main vampire to destroy him and put an end to the acquired curse once and for all. At first glance, she may seem fragile, but episode by episode, she approaches the completion of her own mission...
