The famous TV channel USA Network has announced the launch of a multi-series project "Unsolved". The series is based on the famous events that took place in 1996 and will tell the story of the investigation into the tragic deaths of rappers (2Pac and Notorious B.I.G.). The director and producer of the pilot episode is Anthony Hemingway, known for "American Crime Story", among the co-producers are Kyle Long ("Suits") and Mark Taylor ("Point Break").

The series "Unsolved" is based on the documentary novel "Murder Rap", written by detective Greg Kading from Los Angeles, who investigated the murders of both hip-hop stars. Actor Josh Duhamel ("11.22.63") will play the investigator, and the series also includes Bokeem Woodbine ("Fargo") and Jimmy Simpson ("House of Cards"). The plot revolves around the investigation of the murders of rival opponents - the legendary rappers Tupac Shakur and Biggie Smalls. They died in the midst of a fierce "East Coast-West Coast" war, a term from hip-hop associated with the events of the rivalry between the East and West coasts of the United States. Tupac was one of the first to release a diss (disrespectful and offensive mention in a song) towards Smalls. In any case, the infamous clash of rap clans led to the murder of Shakur in 1996 and Biggie in 1997. Moreover, both were killed using the "drive-by" method, i.e. through shooting from a car. The series sequentially tells the story of the struggle and subsequent tragic events, as well as the course of the investigation into the committed crimes. The scariest part is that the names of the actual murderers of the rap artists are still unknown.
