After the New Year holidays, the viewer will be able to dispel their melancholy with a new series "When We Rise", filming takes place in America. This opinion was not always present among people, for our society had to go a long way to realize this. The plot of the series introduces us to a character who lives in 1969. The peculiarity of the character is that he has a non-traditional orientation, which becomes the impetus for his great actions. Years of service in Vietnam were difficult for him. After all, war is horrible in its own way, and the attitude towards gays at that time was quite critical. Upon returning home, Cleve decides to create a society to protect the rights of minorities. He will face numerous non-standard situations and criticism. The life of the main fighter for a free way of life will acquaint the audience with the transformations of attitudes towards people who wish to love and enter into same-sex marriages. At first, it was even difficult to gain recognition from society, let alone the legitimacy of these relationships. But the hero never wavered from his intentions and only moved forward. Many people will cross paths with Cleve, who will help him promote this unconventional idea for the former society. What sacrifices did the hero have to make? What was the turning point in life, and how did it eventually impact the world around him?
