American Gods Season 2

The project "American Gods", based on the novel of the same name by Neil Gaiman, has been awaiting its premiere since 2013, when it was being developed by the NVО TV channel. Later, the rights to the series were purchased, and finally, in the first quarter of 2017, viewers will see the 1st season.

Originally, the plan was to film 6 seasons of the series, but after a long hiatus and numerous difficulties, director David Slade and the film studio "Fremantle Media North America" froze the continuation until they assess the audience's reaction to Season 1. In the event of renewal, Season 2 will be shown on the Starz channel approximately in the spring of 2019.

What to expect in Season 2

The plot describes the story of a man known as Shadow Moon, who finds himself behind bars for many years and is now awaiting release. Before his freedom, he learns that his beloved wife Laura has become the victim of a terrible car accident. This event kills all the desire to live in the main character. But upon returning home from the funeral, he is met by the mysterious Wednesday, who strongly demands his involvement in the ongoing battle between the "new" and "old" Gods.

The series is shot in the fantasy genre, but it does not completely repeat the events described in the book. The screenwriters tried to deviate from the main actions of the novel and introduce original elements into its plot, which will surely please the experienced viewer.
