Dark Matter Season 2

Almost immediately after the end of the first season, SyFy management announced to their viewers their plans to shoot the second. With a high probability, the premiere of the 2nd season will be on Friday, July 8, 2016. Filming for the sequel began on December 9, 2015.

What will happen in the second season

One of the team members turned out to be a traitor and sent a signal to the intergalactic authorities about the ship. In addition, someone blocked the ship's hyperdrives and weapons. Five crew members were captured and only the sixth one (Griffin Jones) went alone to another ship. Most likely, he betrayed his friends in order to capture the ship and avoid punishment. It is possible that in the new episodes he will change his mind and help them escape from prison in order to make amends.

The TV series "Dark Matter" tells the story of six mercenaries who woke up with no memory on board a drifting spaceship in space. Together, they were supposed to destroy the planet's population, but they disobeyed orders. Their actions turned them into galactic criminals who had to wander from planet to planet in search of shelter and truth.
