Devious Maids release date
On the Lifetime Television channel in the USA, a comedy-drama series called "Devious Maids" premiered on June 23, 2013. The creator of the show, Mark Cherry, originally planned to release his soap opera on ABC, but it was rejected by them in 2012. Before this, Mark was involved in another well-known project, "Desperate Housewives".
The plot takes place in the elite town of Beverly Hills, located near Los Angeles. Four very attractive and ambitious Latin American maids find their friend and colleague, Flora, murdered in one of the houses during a social event. The police arrest the wrong person, but both the house owners who know the truth and the maids' friends do not save the innocent. The girls have to continue working for their spoiled employers and keep their secrets at all costs. Each of the main characters cleans a different house: Marispol works for the Powell family, Carmen for the singer Alejandro Rubio, Rosie for the Westmore family of actors, and Zoila with her daughter Valentina for the DeLateur family. The one common trait among all the girls is that they want to become as rich and famous as the people they clean for. To achieve this, the maids resort to desperate actions, seduce the homeowners, keep secrets, and observe the intrigues...
