The Last Ship release date
The TV series "The Last Ship" from the cable channel TNT Drama premiered on June 22, 2014. The new show was created by the director of the movie "Transformers" based on the novel of the same name by American writer William Brinkley, published in 1988.
The plot revolves around the destroyer of the United States Navy, "Nathan James DDG-151". The ship's crew remained silent and isolated from the outside world during a long mission. When the mission was over and Lieutenant Commander Tom Chandler planned to return to port with the soldiers, microbiologist Rachel Scott boarded the ship. After an attack on the ship by unknown helicopters, she reveals the truth about her reason for being there. The renowned scientist must save humanity from an unknown epidemic that started with a virus outbreak on the outskirts of Cairo and infected almost 90 percent of the world's population. The fate of the entire population of Earth rests in the hands of the ship's crew, who remained uninfected thanks to their isolation from others. If Scott cannot find a vaccine for this pandemic, returning to land aboard the destroyer "Nathan James" will no longer be possible.
