In April 2016, a new TV series about a brave police officer who strives to make his city safe premiered on the NTV channel. The creators of the series wanted to try to show the challenging daily life of a police officer who is not afraid to risk himself for the tranquility of others.

Pavel Semenov was a simple district officer who maintained order in his neighborhood. Every teenager and thief who prowled around the district had heard of him. Semenov had grown accustomed to his job and had no intention of changing anything. But suddenly, he saves Latyshev's daughter, who was an influential businessman. In gratitude for his heroic act, Latyshev transfers Semenov to the central police department of St. Petersburg. Pavel hoped that a new position would involve real investigations, but he was mistaken. Each employee here pursued solely their own interests, sometimes forgetting their duty. Soon, Semenov realizes that his transfer to the central department was not just a gesture of gratitude. Latyshev had certain plans for Pavel Semenov. After conducting an investigation, he confirms his suspicions and understands that he is in a difficult situation. He cannot ask anyone for help, as each employee is concerned only about their own well-being. Therefore, he will have to handle it himself.
