Trassa smerti Season 2

On the NTV channel from April 17th to April 21st, 2017, there was a broadcast of the Russian TV series "Trassa smerti" (Death Track), directed by Denis Neymand with the support of "Motor Film Studio". The creators explained even before the release of the series on air that the viewers should not expect the premiere of the 2nd season...

However, whether there will be a continuation of the quite popular project is still uncertain. And why not? The first season of "Death Road" ended with a so-called "open ending": OMON storms the mansion of the GTA gang. A total of 10 episodes were filmed, each lasting 48 minutes. So, it seems quite logical to finish the story based on real events on the federal highway M-4 "Don". Let us remind you that the plot of the first season of the series did not try to recreate the crime events, as it is primarily a work of art, not a documentary. None of the characters in "Death Road" have prototypes, and the true motives of the bandits were completely changed in the script.

Season 2 Announcement

An ordinary and seemingly calm road received the name "Death Road" in one not very beautiful day among the public and the media ... People died every night, and the signature of the crime was the same: someone killed and left without robbing. But it's not a serial killer - it is clear that this is a collective and "well-adjusted" crime. They never leave any evidence, so the forensic experts are already wondering: "Are these killers really humans?" Or is there a "mole" in the department, which is more likely, Major OVD Zvonaryov thinks to himself... Meanwhile, the bandits have become completely emboldened due to impunity: they film videos with innocent victims in the lead roles, and then post this horror on the Internet. The leadership of the Investigative Committee has only one desire - to suppress the scandal as quickly as possible. The task of the investigator Igor Ivanovich Melnikov is the same as that of Major Zvonaryov - to track down the gangsters, but their methods are different. In addition, both men are haunted by an unresolved conflict from their "previous lives"... Maria Korsakova, a blogger whose brother was killed by the GTA gang, also joins the investigation of this high-profile case.

Naturally, Andrey Merzlikin will return to the role of Major Oleg Zvonaryov. Moreover, just like Sergey Makovetsky in the role of Igor Ivanovich Melnikov and Agniya Kuznetsova in the role of Masha Korsakova. After all, this trio of experienced and successful actors is irreplaceable and has worked together wonderfully.

The plot of the second season will presumably tell in detail about the members of the gang - or rather, about their possibility to escape responsibility. The spotlight will also be shed on the accomplices of the bandits from the highest echelons of power, and, of course, everyone is interested in how the fates and relationships of their favorite characters have developed after the capture of the GTA gang.
