The premiere of the seventh season took place on October 23, 2016, on the AMC channel. In Russia, the show is aired on the FOX channel, which, unlike its Western counterpart, releases new episodes in Russian every other day - on Mondays. This part of the apocalyptic drama can rightfully be considered one of the most brutal, as in the first episode, two main characters were killed. Rick Grimes himself, who is the main character in "The Walking Dead", is scared by the death of his friends and seems to no longer want battles and losses.

The main antagonist of this part of TWD, Negan, has the advantage - he has almost all the weapons that were carefully collected at the beginning of the season from all the survivors. But the resourcefulness and the team spirit of the Grimes family helps them find the strength to tactically defeat the opposing number of enemies. Michonne will try to retrieve Daryl, who is imprisoned within Negan's fortress walls. Jesus helps Carl with a small diversion.
The creator of the show, Frank Darabont, has already rushed to delight the viewers with news about the 8th season, which will be shown in the fall of 2017. But this does not negate the traditional fierce and captivating finale of the 7th season, of which there are only 5 episodes left.
The production of new episodes of "The Walking Dead" takes place in the American city of Atlanta. In the seventh season, there will be a total of 16 one-hour episodes, the majority of which will already be aired by the time the eleventh episode is released on AMC and FOX.
